Where does Magic Broom operate?

Magic Broom operates across Bristol and the surrounding areas and has a wide variety of contracts, including:

What is the minimum number of contract hours per week?

Contracts start from just 2 hours per week. We listen to your needs and work with you to ensure you have the appropriate number of hours to get the job done.

What makes Magic Broom high-quality?

To ensure an excellent service, Magic Broom employ only the most reliable and experienced cleaners. We focus on paying attention to detail and always listen and respond to our clients needs. We have a series of protocols in place to ensure our high standards are always met. We also have a dedicated customer service team available to answer any of your questions.

Do you supply all of the cleaning materials required and consumable supplies, such as toilet rolls, sanitary units etc. at a reasonable cost?

Yes, we supply high quality cleaning materials and are happy to work with you to manage the supply of any consumable products. This reduces your own administrative expenses and ensures you always have the stock you need.
If you would prefer we can use your own chosen cleaning materials. 

What training do your staff have?

All of our staff are trained to industry standard. We train on site to ensure we are prepared for each job. All staff have got the latest COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training and are trained to use the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Are you insured?

Yes, our £1 million comprehensive insurance cover delivers total peace of mind. Accidents can occasionally happen, if they do we ensure that everything is resolved as quickly as possible.

What is your recruitment process?

We hire only the most motivated, reliable and experienced cleaners. All candidates go through a rigorous selection and recruitment process. This helps us make sure our employees will be a good fit and means you can rest assured you are in good hands.
The first stage is a telephone interview, followed by a second stage test clean with a face to face interview. References are always checked before hiring. 

How often can I have a cleaner?

You can book a cleaner as often as you like. Weekly visits are a popular choice, but fortnightly or monthly cleans can also be organised. If you have something special going on, you can book a one-off visit, either in addition to your regular clean or just that once.

What information do I need to provide when I first contact you?

We will need your name, address, email address and contact telephone number. We’ll also need to know the size of the property and will also ask you some questions to help us fully understand your needs. This is usually all achieved through the enquiry/registration form on the website. Once we have some basic details about your property and required services we will send you a quote by email.

If your cleaners arrive and find the requirements are very different to those described they may not go ahead with the job. Instead, the price may need to be adjusted.  You would be advised of any change before they started cleaning the property.  It is very unusual for this to happen as most people do describe their property and requirements fairly.

How much does the cleaning cost?

The price depends on your requirements.

For regular domestic services you can book cleaners on an hourly rate, which is:

£15.00 per hour for weekly cleaning, including our cleaning products

£16.00 per hour for fortnightly cleaning, including our cleaning products

£16.00 per hour for every 3 weeks cleaning, including our cleaning products

Price for a Deep Cleaning or End of tenancy cleaning is based on the size of property and your specific needs.

Commercial Cleaning you can book cleaners on an hourly rate, which starts from £14.00.

What supplies do you provide?

All cleaning products are included in the price.

The list of products used by our cleaners:
Bleach, Antibacterial spray, Limescale remover, Wet wipes, Window cleaner, Stainless Steel, Furniture polish, Sponge, Scourers, Duster, Microfiber clothes

What equipment do I need to Provide?

We just ask to access to your hoover, mop and bucket or any mop which is preferred to your kind of floors.
The hoover needs to be fully charged (if cordless), empty and in good working condition.

What if I prefer my cleaning products?

If you would prefer our cleaners to use your own products please let us know when you make your booking.
Please bear in mind it’s not affecting your price.

Do I need to be in when the cleaners are due to arrive?

Cleaners can hold a set of keys for your property so it is not essential that you are home when they clean. Many customers move to this option within a few weeks of having regular cleaning as it’s so convenient for them. If you home when cleaners are working, they are discreet as possible and try not to cause unnecessary disturbance.

Will the cleaners use my cleaning equipment?

Cleaners carry the equipment they need to complete your clean to the highest standards without using any of your equipment or products.

If you would prefer our cleaners to use your own products please let us know when you make your booking.

Do I need to leave instructions for the cleaners each week? (regular cleans)

It will not be necessary for you to leave notes each week for the cleaners unless your needs have changed since you first registered for cleaning. If you have something special you would like the cleaners to do within the time booked you can leave a note or let us know by email and we will make sure the cleaner gets the message.

Why should I book a commercial cleaning with Magic Broom?

One of the top advantages of hiring professional Magic Broom office cleaners is that you can ask for a service, customised to your specific needs. You can create a cleaning schedule that complies with your business hours. If you are looking for a high-quality cleaning at a reasonable price, we can help you!

What if I’m not happy with the cleaning?

If you aren’t happy with the service you receive from your cleaner/s then please let them know. Cleaners don’t want to have unhappy customers. It’s important to report any concerns as soon as possible, ideally at the time of the cleaning visit so any issues can be dealt with. If this doesn’t work you can let us know and we do our best to help.

Will the cleaners want refreshments while they work?

Cleaners will always provide their own refreshments, such as bottled water. If you want to offer a cup of tea or something then that is completely up to you. If the weather is hot or the clean is over three hours then the cleaners may stop for a short break. This should, however, not impact on the quality of your home clean.

What happens if I go on holiday or need to cancel a clean?

If you have regular cleaning bookings and want to skip a week please email info@magicbroombristol.co.uk and we will let the cleaner(s) know. The more notice the better as it allows cleaners to take bookings to fill any empty slots. If you cancel a booking with less than one working day’s notice a £30 cancellation fee will be applied.

Can you provide references?

Yes. Once you have received the formal quotation from us and are serious about going ahead, we will be happy to provide you with customer references to help you finalise your decision. We also have many testimonials from our existing customers on our website.

Can I book a cleaner at short notice?

We can sometimes help at short notice but booking in advance will help ensure you get the date and time of day you prefer.

What time cleaner arrives?

When you book your clean you decide what day and time is best for you.

How do I pay?

For regular services, an invoice is issued at the end of each month. The best way to pay for cleaning services is to make a bank transfer.

Working with Magic Broom during the Coronavirus outbreak

To ensure the continued health and safety of all personnel of Magic Broom, our clients and members of the public, it is important we all work together during these challenging times. Therefore we would be extremely grateful if you could get in touch with us if any of the following situations apply to you or your organisation, to allow us to take appropriate action as soon as possible. Please let us know if:

  • You have plans to close your building during this period
  • You are working outside of your normal hours, which could affect our cleaning schedules
  • There are potential access issues to your premises
  • You, a colleague or any of your personnel has tested positive for COVID-19 and there could be a chance one of our personnel could be affected while visiting your site. Likewise, if any Magic Broom employees test positive having recently cleaned at your site, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Are we open for business and domestic client during the current situation with Covid-19?

Magic Broom cleaning services is still open for business and continues to serve clients throughout the Bristol area. We provide our customers with a wide range of services that are vital to keeping running in these challenging times and are therefore endeavouring to continue to service our clients’ premises as normal. Our focus throughout the current situation is to ensure our clients’ premises are clean and sanitised to the highest levels whilst maintaining the health and safety of all personnel.

What services your cleaners provide?

Our cleaners provide regular commercial and domestic cleaning as well as one-off commercial and domestic deep cleaning and end of tenancy cleaning.

Deep cleaning is a thorough clean of your property and it is recommended if your house or business hasn’t been cleaned professionally in the last three months.

End of tenancy cleaning is ideal for people moving in or out of the property. This kind of cleaning includes things such as: cleaning, disinfecting and dusting items such as: front door, skirting boards, ceiling, limescale on tiles and taps, inside the cupboards and many more.

How will you remind me about upcoming clean?

5 days before scheduled cleaning you will receive a text message with the date and time the cleaning will take place.

What is a Deep clean?

A deep clean is recommended for our new clients and clients who haven’t had their home or business professionally cleaned in the last 3 months.

Magic Broom Cleaning services is providing deep cleans ensuring all the surfaces, key touchpoints and other areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

Do you do carpet cleaning?

Unfortunately, we don’t provide carpet cleaning.

Do you offer discounts for your regular clients?

Because we price reasonably, we do not offer additional discounts.
